Sabre Spirit is a fun ride

We recently held two events to introduce the new Sabre Spirit weekender to our dealers and the sailing press. Since it’s not boat show season we chose this way to start to get the word our about this great new model. We asked the owners of the first two boats if we could use their boats for a match racing event in Marblehead, Mass and they agreed. Day one was a rain out but day two proved to be a ton of fun. Sail, Sailing World, Cruising World and Sailing all put up teams for the Volvo Penta Press Cup. After a series of races Josh Adams from Sail Magazine won the finals against Andy Burton sailing for Cruising World .

In our dealer sail off Jeff and David Willis of Willis Marine, Huntington, Long Island raced to victory in the finals against New Wave Yachts

One Response to Sabre Spirit is a fun ride

  1. Rich Hersey says:

As a Sabre authorized yard, Manchester Marine has commissioned and repaired many good boats from Sabre Yachts and we are thrilled by the Sabre Spirit. This is a well designed and seemingly spacious (above and below decks) daysailor/overnighter. Both hull #1 and #2 were well crafted at the factory, leaving only minor touch-ups and outfitting for our yard. Watching the results for #1 (“Remain Silent”) in Marblehead, they race well too. A real head turner!
